Hi All, thanks for checking us out! This is me (Steve) and my younger brother (Brandon). We were born and raised here on Nantucket, and from a young age, we really liked fishing. Our dad would take us fishing all the time, but only to Brant Point, and we had always wanted to catch a striped bass or a bluefish, something different from a porgy (scup), but we just didn't have great equipment or much knowledge on how to. So we did our research, got the equipment, and headed out to the south shore and casted a top water lure, and all of a sudden, a striped bass, our very first one. From that point on, the excitement of fishing was full steam ahead. As I got older, I got adult money and was able to get better equipment, and was able to fish more. My brother and I would try to fish every day if possible, and sometimes we wouldn't just land fish, but sharks as well! releasing them as fast as possible as not to harm them. People would come up to us often asking if that was our job, and after enough times of hearing it and thinking about it, we decided to start Cast Away Nantucket so everyone can have a memorable day or night!
