Welcome to Cast Away Nantucket (“Company,” “we,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, online pages, and all guided surfcasting services we provide (“Services”). By booking a trip or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to book a surfcasting trip.
Minors may participate only with a parent or legal guardian present.

2. Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings require payment to secure a spot.

  • Accepted payment methods will be listed during checkout or communicated directly.

  • Prices are listed in USD and may vary based on trip type, length, tide schedule, or season.

Fish being caught is NOT guaranteed. Surfcasting depends on tides, weather, bait presence, and wildlife activity.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

 

Customer Cancellations

  • 24 hours before the trip: eligible for a refund or reschedule.

  • Under 24 hours: non-refundable.

 

Company Cancellations

We may cancel or reschedule for:

  • Unsafe surf or weather conditions

  • High surf advisories

  • Lightning

  • Equipment issues

  • Guide illness or emergencies

If we cancel, you may reschedule or request a full refund.

 

4. Safety Notice & Liability

By booking, you acknowledge surfcasting involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Waves, tides, and unstable footing

  • Line tension, hooks, and sharp tackle

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Weather exposure

  • Surf conditions changing rapidly

You agree to:

  • Follow all guide instructions

  • Use equipment responsibly

  • Remain aware of your surroundings

  • Respect beach regulations and posted signs

You participate at your own risk.
Cast Away Nantucket is not liable for injuries, lost belongings, or damages

5. Fishing Regulations & Wildlife

We operate under Massachusetts fishing laws and federal marine regulations.

Guests agree to:

  • Follow catch-and-release rules for protected species (e.g., sharks)

  • Handle fish only as directed

  • Respect wildlife, dunes, and protected areas

Violation of regulations may result in immediate termination of the trip without refund.

6. Weather Conditions

Weather and ocean conditions affect fish activity and overall experience.

We do not guarantee:

  • Catches or specific species

  • Certain tide conditions

  • Visibility

  • Ideal surf conditions

Trips continue in light rain unless conditions become unsafe or unsuitable
